Discussion on Pedagogy and Diversity to Kick-Off Lecture Series
at Rockland Community College
Suffern, NY - The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) presents its Fall '08 "Human Diversity & Pedagogy" lecture series at Rockland Community College.
Dr. Edmund W. Gordon, Scholar-in-Residence and noted educational psychologist, Professor Emeritus of Columbia University's Teachers College and former chair of the African American Studies department at Yale University, will present the first lecture in the series with, "Learning about Thinking and Thinking about Learning: A Vision for Pedagogy and Diversity in America" on Tuesday, October 21, 4 - 6 p.m. in the Ellipse on the first floor of the new Technology Center. Prior to the lecture light refreshments will be served. A discussion session will be held at the conclusion. Admission is free and open to the public.
