Dean of the Center for Personal & Professional Development Appointed
at SUNY Rockland Community College
Suffern, NY - SUNY Rockland Community College has appointed Mr. Richard Syrek to the administrative position of Dean of the Center for Personal & Professional Development.
Syrek of Cold Spring is responsible for the overall management of the professional programs in health care, hospitality, computer-related technologies, financial manufacturing, government and the service industry. He also develops new workforce training initiatives for large and small businesses as well as life-long learning activities that serve the needs of local residents.
From 2000 until the present, Syrek was President of Mentor Management, LLC, a firm specializing in the development of business plans.
Syrek earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Pace University in Pleasantville, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, N.J.
