Columbia Teachers College Professor Lectures on Human Diversity at SUNY Rockland Community College
Suffern, NY - The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) of SUNY Rockland Community College continues its Spring ’08 Human Diversity Lecture Series with the topic, "Bicultural and bi-lingual competence: a universal challenge."

Maria Torres-Guzman, Associate Professor, Department of Trans-cultural and International Studies, Columbia Teachers College. In her most recent book, Torres-Guzman addresses the problem of locus of control and distribution of power as factors in the development of dual and multiple language competence.
