SUNY Rockland Community College Offers First Trip to China for Students and Community
Application deadline: Friday, September 26
Suffern, NY - SUNY Rockland Community College is offering its first study abroad trip to China this winter. Explore Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai during Wintersession 2009 from January 2- 12. Application is due Friday, September 26.
With various courses to choose from, participants will experience their subjects by visiting the Great Wall, the Summer Palace (home to China’s largest imperial garden), the Forbidden City, Tian’anmen Square, the site of Mao Zedong’s Mausoleum, the Great Hall of the People, museums and the underground tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang; guarded by more than 7,000 life-size Terra Cotta warriors and horses.
RCC offers the highest quality programming at a cost effective price. Approximate program cost is $3050 with additional fees, depending upon whether participant chooses the credit or non-credit option. Included are transportation, hotel, breakfast, four lunches, three dinner banquets and entrance fees. A $600 non- refundable deposit is due with the application.
Please note: Total program cost is subject to change in the case of a substantial currency fluctuation or increase in taxes and surcharges.
Students must apply through the Study Abroad Office at RCC. Although the courses are credit bearing, RCC also encourages applications from adult learners who are keen to travel and explore, but who do not require academic credit.
