Recycling Roundup, by Kerri Scales, Education Coordinator, Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority

Interactive Web of Life
Mosquitoes, bees, annoying little buggers. What do we need them for anyway? So what if there are no frogs. It doesn’t affect me. And it’s not like people eat thistle, or rhododendrons, or worms. There’s really no direct effect on me if these and other species disappear--GUESS AGAIN! Participate in a demonstration of connectivity, of the interdependence of all life on Earth.
Noon - 1:00 p.m., Amphitheater Courtyard
Food available for purchase prepared by the RCC Hospitality Program ($5/plate). Reusable RCC Earth Day water bottles ($2 each) also available. All proceeds will go to an environmental scholarship and a local environmental organization.
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. and 1:00 - 2:00 Student Union, Room 3214
Rizzo’s Reptile Show
Reptiles--you love ‘em or hate ‘em but most don’t understand them or their importance to the environment. Come experience the rapture of the reptile up close and personal.
