Center for Personal and Professional Development Announces Fall Semester Offerings—Catalog Now Available Online

SUNY Rockland’s Center for Personal and Professional Development Announces Fall Semester Offerings
- Catalog Now Available Online

 

Some courses begin Sept 4

 

Suffern, NY - There are approximately 40 new workshops and courses, ranging from computers to Pilates, offered by SUNY Rockland’s Center for Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) this fall semester.  For course listings, visit www.sunyrockland.edu/go/cppd and click on the category of interest on left.

 

The CPPD is SUNY Rockland’s continuing education program, offering professional training and life enrichment opportunities for children, teens, adults and seniors. The Academy for Gifted and Talented Kids begins Oct 4.

 

Popular courses, and those with an early start date, include Real Estate Sales (begins Sept 4), SAT Preparation (Sept 7), English as a Second Language (Sept 4), ServSafe (Sept 6), Photoshop (Sept 17), QuickBooks (Sept 23), Windows (Oct 19) and Tax Update and Review (Nov 25).

 

New course offerings this fall include “How to Build a Fun and Profitable Home-Based Business”; “Dance Series Workshop”; “Passport to the Future”; “Memory Shock—Training You’ll Remember”; “Firm, tone and lose weight”; “Manage your attitude--Manage your life”; “Effective Parenting”; “The American President”; and “Improve your English.”

 

The Center’s clients are divided into three classes: those from the community looking to improve their personal and/or work skills, businesses that contract with the College for specific training for their workforce, and programs specific to the health-care industry.

 

Courses are offered on the main campus in Suffern, the Haverstraw and Spring Valley extension centers, and many off-campus venues.
