Associate's Degree in Speech/Communication Studies Now Offered
at SUNY Rockland Community College
Fall '10 Semester begins Wednesday, September 1
Suffern, NY - Beginning in Fall 2010, SUNY Rockland Community College will offer an Associate in Arts degree in Speech/Communication Studies, which can ultimately lead to careers in speech and language therapy, speech communication education, law, business, or journalism.
The Speech/Communication Studies program combines liberal arts introductory courses in Science, Psychology, Math and English with a concentration in one of four categories: Speech and Language Therapy, Speech Performance, Journalism, or Rhetoric/Communication Theory.
The program is geared toward students transferring to four-year colleges. Scholarships to continue studies in Speech/Communication Studies are available to students who excel at RCC.
