Art Exhibit at SUNY Rockland Community College

Suffern, NY - Manonce Celestine is presenting his art show, “Views of Manonce,” in the SUNY Rockland Community College library from December 26 – January 15.

Self-taught artist, Manonce Celestine, was born in Guadeloupe and lived in the Caribbean as a young boy. He immigrated to the U.S., residing in Florida until moving to New York in 2003. From a young age, Celestine sculpted in clay and evolved into painting and mixed media. The magic and mysticism of his Caribbean culture influences his work to this day. Celestine’s work has been exhibited in numerous shows, often with juried recognition, including the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art. Since living in New York, he’s taken an interest in the realism of his new surroundings.

For more information, contact: Manonce Celestine, adjunct librarian, at 845-574-4398.

Rockland Community College, a unit of the State University of New York, is located 25 miles northwest of NYC. The majority of its students transfer to four-year colleges, and many find immediate employment upon earning their associate's degree or certificate. The College also offers others, from preschoolers to senior citizens, the opportunity to simply learn something new. Quality education...at a price you can afford.
