"Young Artists at Work," is the 12th annual student art exhibit organized by the College's Art Department in collaboration with the Rockland Art Educators Association and will be on view March 4 to March 25. This exhibit will feature a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, graphic design, ceramics and jewelry.

The RCC Art Department works closely with area art teachers to publicize the College’s art program, and recruit promising art students.  Together, they award an art scholarship every year to an entering freshman. The College offers three two-year degrees in the fields of Photography, Fine Arts and Graphic Design.  The Rockland Art Educators Association is a vital group of Rockland County art teachers that actively promotes youth art and art education.  Its membership includes published authors and professional artists who exhibit widely in both local and national shows. RAEA co-chairs are Peggy O’Hara, Art Dept. Chair, Clarkstown Middle School and Joan Quinn, retired Art Dept. Chair, Clarkstown School District.

Rockland Community College, a unit of the State University of New York, is located 25 miles northwest of NYC. The majority of its students transfer to four-year colleges, and many find immediate employment upon earning their associate's degree or certificate. The College also offers others, from preschoolers to senior citizens, the opportunity to simply learn something new. Quality education...at a price you can afford.
