How to Eat an Elephant (or Tackle a Resource Management Plan)

Lorinda Hill, Assistant to the Director of Plant Facilities

lhill@sunyrockland.edu, 845-574-4524

Intended Audience: Anyone

Abstract: The 3 R’s (reduce, reuse and recycle) are but the first step toward a life free of waste – well, almost. Transformation of the mind and soul requires only a willingness to leave our progeny a better planet than what we inherited – and a plan. Living with minimal waste need not cause major medical or psychological issues. So take a deep cleansing breath and learn how a systematic implementation of environmentally sound practices can add to our personal wellness and that of our planet.

About the Speaker: Lorinda Hill, Assistant to the Director of Plant Facilities, is the Vice President of the NYSAR3 (New York State Association for Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling). She is also Chair of the College Council Committee of NYSAR3, which guides the activities of the Council and works with the College Council Coordinator. Hill received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service (2011). She earned a BS in Physics from Manhattan College, Bronx, NY.
