RCC Hosting Rockland County Nurse Recognition Day
nurses from across the county to be honored

RAMAPO – Rockland Community College will host this year’s Rockland County Nurse Recognition Day, as registered nurses from around the County will be honored for their hard work and achievements. This is the 35th annual event, which runs each year in conjunction with National Nurses Week.

RCC Fieldhouse

For the 35th anniversary, the organizing committee decided to honor the history of Rockland County Nurse Recognition Day. The keynote speaker will be a founding member of the group from 1982. The committee selected the theme of "Nursing: The Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit,” in conjunction with the American Nurses Association theme for this year.

The chair of the committee is Dr. Kathy Hopkins, RCC Associate Professor of Nursing and Division Chair of STEM and Health Professions.

Each year nurses from throughout Rockland County are presented with Nursing Excellence awards after a committee carefully reviews all entries. Registered nurses from hospitals, colleges and other organizations are eligible.
