RCC Debate Debaters Win at Dominican College

RCC won Dominican College’s debate tournament on Sunday, November 24. Rockland sent three two-person “teams” who all competed in three rounds of debate against two-person teams from Dominican College and Yeshiva University. Rockland’s team of Rivka Mandel and Rachel Bukher were undefeated after three rounds of debate. In addition to receiving the first-place trophy for their win-loss record, Mandel was recognized as the top speaker at the tournament.

Also competing at the tournament were the teams of Long Tran-Bui & Elmir Kouliev, and David Hamilton-Jones & Fharid Floriant. Two RCC alumni, Zamir Ben-Dan and Brandon Evans served as judges at the event.
