Openings are still available for students who are interested in starting the Paralegal program this September. Attend this free information session and meet RCC’s dedicated faculty and staff. Learn about internships for paralegal students and the job opportunities for graduates. You can earn an Associate of Applied Science or a post-degree certificate in Paralegal Studies at RCC. These programs are approved by the American Bar Association. RCC has a dedicated paralegal staff to assist with job placement for students and graduates, and all course instructors are professional attorneys or paralegals with many years of experience.

The US Department of Labor website states that employment of paralegals and legal assistants is projected to grow 28% between 2008 and 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations. “They regularly rank the paralegal field as one of the fastest growing in the nation,” said Deborah Vinecour, Esq., Chair/Associate Professor, Paralegal Program. Vinecour, also notes, “There are so many different varieties of paralegal work, and RCC offers a good generalized paralegal education. It’s a wonderful starting point for anyone.”

Paralegals are not licensed to practice law; they work under the supervision of an attorney.
