Mysteries of Leonardo da Vinci Presented at RCC
Event is free and open to the public

RAMAPO – The amazing and mysterious life of Leonardo da Vinci will be the focus of an exciting presentation at Rockland Community College. The event, sponsored by RCC’s Italian Heritage Month Committee, is free and open to the public.

Thursday, April 20, 2017
3 - 4 pm
Academic II, Room 2325

Konstadinos Ritsatos, RCC adjunct faculty, will speak about the symbolism in da Vinci’s artwork and the many remarkable inventions he designed that weren’t developed until centuries later. Ritsatos will also discuss the mysteries surrounding da Vinci: the secrets he kept from the Church; the two years he went missing; and an encounter he had in a cave outside Florence.

RCC celebrates Italian Heritage Month in October with a series of lectures and special events. The College promotes a collegial and inclusive environment and celebrates the various cultures represented within its campus community.
