This event is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend. RCC administrators and Financial Aid officers will be on hand to answer questions about the Excelsior Scholarship and the application process. More information can also be found at

The scholarship, created by Governor Andrew Cuomo and approved by the state legislature, is available this year to New York residents with a family income below $100,000. Students must complete applications for the federal Pell Grant and the New York Tuition Assistance Program before filling out an Excelsior Scholarship application.

Both current and incoming RCC students are eligible to apply for the scholarship, but only full-time students on track to graduate in two years will qualify. Students must complete all applications for the Excelsior Scholarship by July 21 to be eligible for the award this year.
