Led by Bobby Deitch, who teaches music for Performing Arts at RCC, the band debuted their album last Spring at the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC. Their upbeat musical style includes horns, percussion, keyboards and guitar, all creating a lyrical but funky feel-good vibe often compared to Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Earth, Wind and Fire and others. Bobby and Denise Deitch are dedicating this performance to the memory of their friend Donna DeFilippis of Stony Point, a former RCC student who recently passed away from cancer.

Grateful
The vision for their recent album came from the Deitch’s son, famed drummer/music producer Adam Deitch from Lettuce, who requested his Dad get back to the funky groove he heard growing up. Adam plays drums on several cuts, and co-produced the album with Lettuce band mate and two-time Grammy winner Nigel Hall. Guest appearances feature George Porter Jr (Meters), Jon Cleary (Bonnie Raitt) and (Beyonce drummer) Nikki Glaspie.
