The Director of the Library is responsible for the daily operation of the Library, which includes short and long range planning, but is not limited to information literacy, assessment, space utilization, technology acquisition, collection management, student/customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. The Director of Library must:

- Oversee the daily operation of the Library;
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise all Library personnel;
- Prepare, monitor and maintain Library budget;
- Supervise the inventory of the Library (books, media and technology);
- Lead information literacy and assessment inventory;
- Serve on various institutional committees; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Master’s in Library or Information Science from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Experience: Five years of professional library experience demonstrating a progression of responsibility, including library management, planning, budgeting and supervision of personnel; experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse students, faculty and staff; and experience in a shared governance environment.
Experience at an academic library; community college experience.
$82,776 - $95,000
