David Lucander, PhD, Associate Professor, Multicultural Studies, wrote a featured review for the Missouri Historical Review (Vol. 111, No. 2), January 2017 issue, on Jeffrey Gonda's book Unjust Deeds: The Restrictive Covenant Cases and the Making of the Civil Rights Movement (University of North Carolina Press, 2015).
Patricia Szobonya, Associate Professor, Paralegal Studies/Criminal Justice, wrote an article, “Mock Trial at Rockland Community College,” that was published in the Spring/Summer 2016 edition of The Paralegal Educator.
Lisa Jacobson, Counselor, Financial Aid Office, was cited as an unsung hero in the Feb. 22 edition of the Rockland County Times for her 36-year service to the Nanuet Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Dana Stilley, Vice-President of Student Services, was honored as a community leader on February 4 at the Nyack Center.
Eileen MacAvery Kane, Instructor, Art, is exhibiting in “Politicked Off, Milkweed” at Sugar Loaf, NY, through March. She is also participating in the Orange County Arts Council Members’ Exhibition at Orange County CC in Middletown, NY through February.
Andrea Narciso, Secretary of English, Speech & Philosophy, has an exhibit, "Girls With Attitude," on display through March at the Top of the Stairs Gallery in the Orangeburg Library.
John Schlesinger, Associate Professor, Art, is in Dear Volunteers, the collaborative team with Tra Bouscaren, opening an installation at the AC INSTITUTE the first week of March. The installation will be composed of sculpture, neon, photography and interactive video. Opening Reception March 7 @ 6-8 pm. AC Institute [16 East 48th Street | 4th Floor | NYC, NY 10017
