Saeed Safaie, Professor of Science, teaches Math, Physics and Engineering, and has received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service. Prof. Safaie is the co-coordinator of the RCC Speakers Bureau, coordinator of the astronomy lectures at RCC, chair of the Community Involvement and Quality of Life Committees, Second Vice-President/ Secretary of RCCFT Union Executive Committee, co-chair of Priorities Committee, member of the board of directors of the Annual North-East Astro Imaging Conference, member of Science Lecture Series Committee and honorary member of Rockland Astronomy Club.

He has also served as captain of the RCC faculty Heart Walk team and Countywide Food Drive since 1999, and has published several articles about engineering.
