Anyone interested in SETI, the Search for ExtraTerrestrial life and Intelligence, has an opportunity to participate using their own computer.
Distributed computing projects such as this make use of an individual's PC to contribute to large scale research projects. Different kinds of opportunities exist. You can become involved in cancer research, teaching common sense to a computer, contributing to a WWW directory, identifying craters on Mars, .... |
