Assignment 3: Moral Development Theory
Use the movie RETURN TO PARADISE to answer the following questions:
- Choose three characters in the movie who are faced with a moral decision. Using specific examples from the movie:
- identify what stage you believe the character is in on either the Kohlberg or Gillgan scales and why.
- indicate whether they are using male or female reasoning,
- discuss whether or not each character changed stages at any time during the movie
- Choose one character who you feel has demonstrated a strong life value. Why?
- Choose one character who you feel has demonstrated a stong work value. Why?
- If you were faced with the same decision, what would you do? What stage would your decision fit into?
